Dr Anbumani said that except for the ruling AIADMK, all the political parties including DMK have sought prohibition

Cuddalore: All political parties have joined the bandwagon seeking total prohibition in the state following PMK’s consistent anti-liquor campaign, said PMK’s chief ministerial candidate Dr Anbumani Ramadoss.
Addressing a rally in Virudachalam in Cuddalore on Saturday, Dr Anbumani said that except for the ruling AIADMK, all the political parties including DMK have sought prohibition. “It is all due to the consistent fight by Dr Ramadoss who have been campaigning for prohibition for the past 35 years,” he said.
Continuing his attack on DMK, PMK MP said that Karunanidhi has given the assurance of considering enforcement of prohibition if voted to power is with an eye on the ensuing polls. “You should not take the words of Kalaignar (Karunanidhi) seriously. He had given similar assurance five times but never fulfilled it,” he said, asking DMK leader to direct his party men who owns five breweries in the state to shut it down. “Only PMK can fulfil the promise of implementing prohibition,” he claimed.
