New Delhi: India rode on Gurjinder Singh’s brace to trounce hosts France 4-1 in the second match of their Europe tour at the Wattigies Sports Centre in Lille on Wednesday.
With this win, India sealed the series 2-0. India had earlier defeated France 2-0 in their opening match of the tour.
India dominated proceedings right from the start. While the French side pressed forward throughout the first quarter, the Indians seemed in no mood to take things lightly.
Gurjinder’s drag flick from a penalty corner in the 14th minute helped the visitors take the lead.
