‘Chancellor’s Trophy’ for best university in Kerala

Kottayam: Kerala Governor P Sathasivam inaugurated the valedictory function as part of the diamond jubilee celebrations of BCM College at Kottayam on Tuesday.

While speaking at the function, the Governor instituted the ‘Chancellor’s Trophy’ for the best university in the State.

He said that he had a special interest in the quality of higher education in the state.

Mr Sathasivam said the award carrying '5 crore as the prize, was intended to encourage quality in higher education.

He added that as the governor of the state, his aim was to improve the higher education sector and he intended to do that in his role as the Chancellor of the Universities in the state.
