Parvez, Vikrant, Gagan, Shyam impress in wins

Parvez swung into action, ripping through Bhagwathi’s batting line-up to bundle them out for only 93
Hyderabad: Bowlers had a great outing in the two-day cricket league matches organised by the Hyderabad over the weekend. Parvez Khan led the pack with a magnificent 7 for 38 — including a hat-trick as Sporting XI thrashed Jai Bhagwathi by 10 wickets.
Parvez’s effort came on the heels of a fine century by teammate Vikrant (109), who helped Sporting to a competitive 284 in their first innings.
Saathyaki Miryala was the pick of Bhagwathi’s bowlers with 5 for 62.
Parvez swung into action, ripping through Bhagwathi’s batting line-up to bundle them out for only 93. Bhagwathi then managed just 196 in their second essay, giving Sporting a measly six-run target.
Meanwhile, Gaganjot Singh played a key role in Khalsa’s 140-run victory over Zinda CC. Taking first strike, Khalsa made a stiff 371 for 9. Shyam Reddy bowled his heart out, picking up 5 for 85.
However, Gaganjot’s 5 for 35 helped Khalsa limit Zinda to 154 for 9, forcing them to follow on. They did no better the second time around, folding for only 77 runs to give their opponents a massive victory.
In other action, Sushant (5/26, Sai Satya) and Anirudh Reddy (6/59, Megacity) put on impressive shows on either side of the fence in a drawn encounter.
