The woman was arrested at Jalandhar railway station

Jalandhar: Sometimes fans will stop at no limit to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars. A Pakistani woman, who claimed that she wanted to meet Bollywood actor Salman Khan, has been arrested here for allegedly crossing into India through Attari border without valid travel documents.

The 27-year-old woman identified as Chanda Khan gave varying reasons for entering India including that she was going to Delhi to pray for her son at a dargah and also that she was looking for her lost uncle.

While the security agencies are probing as to why the woman, who hails from Karachi in Pakistan and is married to one Salman Khan, entered India, Chanda said that she wanted to catch a glimpse of "Bajranji Bhaijaan" actor Salman Khan.

The recently released cross-border drama, which is rushing to the Rs 300-crore club in India, has gripped audience in the neighbouring Pakistan as well.

The film is about a Bajrangbali (Hanuman) bhakt named Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi's (played by Salman) journey from India to escort a six-year-old mute Pakistani girl back to her village.
