Congress pulls up ACB on Chandrababu Naidu

Naidu was not included in the chargesheet on the cash-for-vote scam
Hyderabad: Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday asked the Anti-Corruption Bureau as well as Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to explain why the name of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was not included in the chargesheet on the cash-for-vote scam.
Mr Sudhakar Reddy said the non-inclusion of Mr Naidu’s name in the first chargesheet filed by the ACB on Tuesday made it appear that the investigating agency had not taken into cognisance what prime accused TD legislator A. Revanth Reddy told nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson regarding the involvement of the “boss” in the deal.
He said people had started suspecting a compromise between Mr Chandrasekhar Rao and Mr Naidu at the instance of the Centre for “unknown political reasons.” The Congress MLC recalled that there was a war of words between the two CMs over the issue. He said that if Mr Naidu’s name is not included in the subsequent chargesheet, one would suspect the investigating agency. He said Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would be forever blamed for any lapse on his part in not making Mr Naidu an accused in the for cash-for-vote scam.
