Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the detail?ed project report for light metro projects in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. The cabinet has decided to implement both these projects on the lines of Kochi Metro with the help of DMRC and are estimated to cost around Rs 3,453 crores and Rs 2,057 crore for Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode respectively. The Kerala Monorail Board chaired by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had given in-principle approval for the project in 2014 October.
