Youth held for sexually exploiting woman

They had known each other while working in a private firm
Coimbatore: Cops of the All Women Police Station in Thudiyalur arrested a 24-year-old man from Mettupalayam for sexually exploiting a 32-year-old woman by promising to marry her.
Police said the accused M Anandakumar from Dasanur in Mettupalayam had been in love with Rahamath Nisha, a resident of Nethaji Nagar in Kattoor road for the last five years. “They had known each other while working in a private firm in Mettupalayam. The complainant, who got pregnant in 2012 in an affair with him, had then aborted it. She is now carrying by four months. When she asked Anandakumar to marry her, he refused,” police said.
Based on a complaint by Rahamath Nisha, the Thudiyalur AWPS police registered a case and arrested and remanded the accused. In another incident, police booked P Subramanian, 35, a farmer from Annur for bigamy.
Police said the accused Subramanian had married Selvi, 30 from Sirumugai in 1998 after courting her and the couple has a 15-year-old son. The accused, who developed an illict affair with Gowri, 26 from Annur, had also married her in 2013 without the knowledge of the complainant.
Subramanian had also harassed Selvi under the influence of alcohol. Following a complaint, the Thudiyalur AWPS police have registered a case against Subramanian, Gowri, his father Palanisamy, 60 and mother Ponnammal, 55.
