Most cab companies are seeing prior bookings, leaving almost no ‘available slots’

Hyderabad: Several residents and tourists are hiring private cabs for the Pushkaralu, leaving fewer vehicles in the city. The demand is expected to go up during the weekend.
“There is huge demand for cabs towards Basar and Nizamabad. We have been asked to cut down local availability and make the cabs available at higher charges for long distance routes,” said an official for Ola Cabs.
Most cab companies are seeing prior bookings, leaving almost no ‘available slots’. “Many passengers landing at the airport are booking the cabs directly for the districts. Our prices have been jacked up by around 30 per cent,” said a driver of Green Cabs, P. Visheshwar.
