A fish-laden van plowed into a bus-stop, killing three people, including an 11-year-old girl

BENGALURU: In a repeat of KIA Road accident a few months ago, a fish-laden van plowed into a bus-stop, killing three people, including an 11-year-old girl, and injuring three others in Padarahalli village near Harisandra in Ramanagar Rural police limits on Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Ramanna, 50, Mahadev Nayak, 40, and Kavana, 11, daughter of Jayadeva, while the injured are Vasanthaiah, Kengegowda and Krishna Nayak. All were from Padarahalli village. They were all waiting for buses at the bus stop when the accident occurred around 8 am.

The van driver lost control of the vehicle and swerved to stop it, only to crash into the bus-stop. He fled from the spot after abandoning the vehicle. Angry passersby blocked the road for over one hour demanding the immediate arrest of the driver. The police shifted the injured and the bodies of the victims. The police are on the lookout for the driver.
