Ex-BCCI chief N Srinivasan to continue as ICC Chairman after patch up with Anurag Thakur: report
Mumbai: ICC Chairman N Srinivasan has reportedly settled his differences with BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and is likely to remain at the helm of world cricket body and might even complete his two-year term at the top post. The Srini and Thakur camps have been embroiled in a power war and have often accused each other of misconduct.

According to a report in ‘The Indian Express’, the decision is supposed to have taken place during the ICC Annual Conference in Barbados last month after which Srinivasan was told that he could remain the ICC chief for another year.
"There was a time when Srinivasan had been under threat of losing his chair at the ICC. But he spoke to Anurag in Barbados and they have patched up. The BCCI will not replace him when they meet for the AGM (Annual General Meeting) in September," a source was quoted as saying in the report.

However, the equations could change once the Supreme Court-appointed RM Lodha Committee announces its decision on the fate of IPL teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, as well as Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan and IPL COO Sundar Raman.
The report said that the issue came up for discussion when BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya met Thakur at his residence in Kolkata last week.
The BCCI decided to allow Srinivasan to continue representing them in the ICC during its last AGM held in Chennai in March. But doubts were being raised whether Srinivasan would retain the ICC job post September.
The report also goes to add that after the AGM, Srinivasan had a meeting with Dalmiya where he was furious to see Dalmiya's son Abhishek running the daily affairs of the board. Srinivasan also called up his one-time foe Sharad Pawar on the sidelines of the ICC World Cup in Australia.

Pawar, a former BCCI and ICC chief, reportedly told Srinivasan that he will gain his support only if he stays away from the affairs of Indian cricket.
It added that Thakur is keen on nominating former BCCI president Shashank Manohar as the next ICC chairman but the only hurdle in this case is a clause which demands that the candidate should have served as a member of the ICC board of directors and the only BCCI representative fulfilling the clause is Srinivasan.
"There is no second representative from the BCCI. Srinivasan has been chairing the ICC meetings both as its head and on behalf of the BCCI. The matter came to the board's notice very late," the source added.
"Srinivasan completes one year as the ICC chief in July, two months before the BCCI AGM. And there will be only ten months left of his term thereafter. Having a new ICC chairman for that period doesn't make sense," the source pointed out.
