Salman Khan recently visited the sets of Dance India Dance to promote his next and we hear he was particularly impressed with a ballet dancer Shruti. When the actor learnt that Shruti has been practising for almost 17 years, he shared that there was a time when he too planned on taking up a course in ballet.
Our source says, “Taking a trip down memory lane, Salman said that once Sanjay Dutt, out of the blue, called to request him to take four months off to go to Los Angeles to learn tap dancing and ballet. While Sanju baba sounded all serious about the plan, Salman was mighty amused as he could not imagine the two of them wearing a tutu, stockings, ballet slippers. He was thankful that the plan never got executed as it would have taken him not four months but forty years to master the art and be as proficient as someone like Shruti.”
That wasn’t all. Salman also recalled how he forgot the steps during a performance in London. And he just stood still on stage for quite some time, making it evident that he had forgotten the routine. “He said that he so disheartened that he went back and bawled his lungs out. Later he realised that a true performer never lets the audience know his mistakes,” adds the source.
