Hyderabad: Ten people were injured when a bus, belonging to Kesineni Travels, overturned in Nalgonda district early on Saturday. The mishap occurred when the driver lost control over the wheel near Gumpula Tirumalagiri village on NH 9.
The bus, bound for Eluru from Hyderabad, was carrying nearly 40 passengers. The driver lost control when he tried to overtake a truck, said an official at the Chivvemula police station.
The driver fled the spot after the accident.
The injured passengers were shifted to the Suryapet Government Hospital, while other passengers were taken to their destination in another bus. Chivvemula Police have registered a case against the driver and seized the bus. Police is looking for the driver.
