Facebook and Internet.org are on a mission to connect the world by offering Internet services worldwide. This includes easy accessibility to apps, websites and services that are relevant and available in different languages.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook has revealed that the tech giant will use drones and satellites to boost up connectivity in areas where wireless networks are absent. His team is working on a new laser communications system that can beam data from the sky into communities and is able to increase the speed of sending data over long distances.

Facebook has basically garnered 8 lakh users in India for its Internet.org initiative. As part of the global initiative, It also partnered with Reliance Communications that offered free access to over 30 websites without data charges to users in India.
