Basthi to hit on July 3

While Jayasudha’s younger son Shreyan Kapoor is making his acting debut with Basthi, businessman Vasu Manthena is debuting as a director with the film, which will release on July 3, one week before Baahubali releases. Pragathi, who has worked in Bollywood and as a child artiste, is also making her debut in Tollywood with Basthi.

“The story is about two rival groups in a basthi and an incident brings the lead pair together,” says Vasu, adding, “I learnt the techniques and filmmaking on my own. After I was ready with my script, I approached Shreyan. We completed our film in just 36 days.”
