Roberto Carlos likely to be part of Delhi Dynamos in ISL 2

The franchise approached the Brazilian who, currently, is free

Mumbai: The second season of Indian Super League is trying its best to embrace Brazilian legends. After FC Goa roped in Lucio, the murmur is that Delhi Dynamos may have the legendary Roberto Carlos as coach for the 2015 edition.

Carlos, known for his ‘free kicks’ is a household name across the globe and according to reports, he has already been approached by the Delhi franchise.

The 42-year-old former World Cup winner was coaching Akhisar Belediyespor – the Turkish team – but currently, is no longer associated with any club.

The Delhi team management is keeping quiet on the issue but the Brazilian, in all likelihood, will replace Harm van Veldhoven.

Carlos had appeared in three World Cups, apart from the victorious edition of 2002. In 1998, he was a part of the team that finished runners-up, losing the final to France.

The footballer – who shot to fame in 1997 after finding the net off a well-curled free kick against France – called it a day after successful stints with Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Fenerbahce.

In 2014, Delhi had Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero as their star player.
