Paris: Days after a passenger found a lizard in their meal onboard an Air India flight, the national airliner has found itself amidst a controversy yet again. This time over 40 Indian school children were forced to spend the night sleeping on the floor at the Paris airport after Air India’s international flight from Paris to New Delhi was delayed due to unexplained technical reasons.
According to reports, Air India Flight AI 142 was scheduled to take off from Paris on June 16, 2015 at 10.00 PM, however, it was delayed due some unexplained technical reasons. The flight was supposed to fly back over 40 school children who had been on a tour to Europe, as reported by India Today.
As per airliner’s rule, Air India should have arranged for an alternative stay for these children, however, the children were left to sleep on the floor with nothing but a thin sheet to cover with. They were not even provided meals or drinking water during the ordeal. The airline provided the children with 10 Euros to manage a meal for themselves.
No one from Air India appeared to take care of these children at the airport since the announcement of the delay in flight.
Prents of these children appeared agitated as were the children upon their arrival at New Delhi international airport.
