On Saturday evening, at the Baahubali audio launch that took place in Tirupati, Prabhas revealed that he had rejected Rajamouli in the initial stage of both their careers.
“When Rajamouli approached me for a film I rejected him because I didn’t like his film Student No. 1, despite it being a hit.” Later when Prabhas saw Jr NTR’s Simhadri, he was sad that he rejected Rajamouli. However, when Prabhas met Rajamouli at a function he complimented him for Simhadri and the very next day Rajamouli approached him for Chatrapathi.
“Six years back, Rajamouli told me that he wanted to make a big film with me. I had four flops, but he still approached me for Baahubali. Such films come once in a lifetime and I thank him from the bottom of my heart,” Prabhas said.
The audio launch took place in Tirupati, with Rajamouli announcing that the film would release on July 10 as announced earlier.
