Hyderabad: A fire mishap occurred at the SR Nagar branch of the Union Bank on Thursday morning due to an electrical malfunction.
“The fire occurred at around 8:45 am and the fire fighting team reached the spot by 9 am. Sanathnagar fire personnel attended the fire. An air-conditioner in one of the rooms caught fire due to some malfunction,” said M.A. Shareef, the station fire officer of Sanathnagar Fire Station.
Although there wasn’t much damage and the mishap was classified as a medium fire, the computer systems failed to start due to the dense smoke, the fire officer said. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
