Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt, who is currently serving a 42-month sentence in Yerwada Central Jail for illegal possession of weapons during the 1993 serial blasts was all set to make his comeback in Karan Malhotra’s ‘Shuddhi’. According to reports the actor was expected to begin shooting for the film after completing his jail term.
It was reported that Sanjay had been offered a negative role in the film by the director. The actor previously worked with Malhotra on ‘Agneepath’, where he essayed the role of the villain Kancha.
However the actor won’t be a part of the film, as he will begin shooting for OMG- ‘Oh My God’ once he’s out. Sanjay reportedly doesn’t want to comeback to the industry with a negative role
Producer Karan Johar had earlier announced that Salman Khan had been cast as the lead in the film, after Hrithik Roshan walked out of the project due to health issues. However it was recently announced that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have been roped in for the film.
We wonder which star will play the villain in the film. Any guesses?
