Mumbai: Bagging the IIFA award for best debutante was doubly special for Kriti Sanon, since the one presenting it was Anushka Sharma — who Kriti has always looked up to.
Kriti couldn’t stop gushing about how she was a huge fan of Anushka and had loved her since her Band Baaja Baaraat days. “Receiving this award from Anushka makes it more special. I hope my career pans out like that of Anushka’s,” she said.
But when she spoke about “looking up” to Anushka, IIFA hosts, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, joked about how that might be a tad difficult given that she is taller than her icon!
