Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao calls for Cabinet meeting

CM Rao will also discuss various developmental works to be taken up in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao convened a crucial Cabinet on Tuesday. The Cabinet which took stock of the one-year rule of the TRS government is out to ratify the proposed one lakh house site pattas in the state under the new regularisation scheme, find ways and means to retain parliamentary secretaries struck down by High Court, strategy for MLC elections, a 500 MW solar power project in Mahbubnagar, new industrial policy among others.

Two bedroom housing scheme in Hyderabad on the lines of IDH colony, government jobs to youth, proposed Telangana Formation Day celebrations from June 2 are also on the agenda, it is learnt.

Mr Chandrasekhar Rao held discussions with chief secretary, principal secretaries and secretaries of various departments on Monday to give final touches to the new industrial policy slated to be come into effect from June 7 which includes allocation of land, power, water and all clearances in a fortnight’s time.

TSIIC has been allotted 1.6 lakh acre by the government for reallotting the same to industries and corporate under the new Industrial policy. Sources said the CM will share his experiences of the whirlwind tour of city under Swachh Hyderabad, demand for two-bedroom housing from poor, upcoming harita haram, and GHMC elections.

The Chief Minister will also discuss various developmental works to be taken up in Hyderabad, some of which have been initiated like Swachh Hyderabad, coming Haritha Haram, progress of Mission Kakatiya, Telangana Water Grid, KG to PG education, new Secretariat, new one stop industrial policy, irrigation policy, pending two lakh jobs to youth in government sector, launch of new irrigation schemes at Nakkalagandi, Palamuru, programmes for Formation Day among others at Parade Grounds among others.

Chief Minister has already planned launch of couple of projects including the multi crore development of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy devasthanam at Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district on the lines of Tirumala on May 30.

Chief Minister has reportedly invited Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chinna Jeeyar Swami to grace the occasion. In the first week of June, the Chief Minister plans to lay pylon for Jalaharam project at Choutuppal, foundation stones for Yadadri power project a at Damercherla and Nakkalagandi project followed by public meeting at Nakrekal.
