Nandamuri Balakrishna is happy with the success of Lion despite the mixed reviews. Speaking about the film during a success meet on Thursday, he said, “Actually, the story was narrated to me four to five years ago.
But the subject is suited for the present circumstances. Now, even a common man knows about the CBI and how it works. So, the film connected well with the present audience.” He added that if the film had been made four years ago, the result might have been different. He recalled his father’s films Thodu Dongalu and Pichi Pullaiah, which were ahead of their times.
“The films did not do well because the subjects were very much ahead of their times,” says the actor. He added that like his father, he wants to come up with good films till his last breath.
