Upen Patel pops the question to Karishma Tanna

Mumbai: Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna who came to be called on UpMa as a couple on the sets of Bigg Boss where they first met, got engaged on the sets of Nach Baliye this week. Sources close to the couple said that Upen has bought a plain white gold band for himself and an exquisite solitaire ring for Karishma, studded with small diamonds all around it, costing six lakhs.

The channel apparently knew of Upen’s plans, but kept things hush hush so that the proposal remains a surprise and Karishma doesn’t get a whiff of it.

Adds the source, “The channel made an exception for Upen by giving him access to a cell phone to plan the proposal. He had to make arrangements for the cake, ring and keep his family in the know.”
