'India is the next frontier of economic revolution,' Narendra Modi tells students in China
Beijing: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed Tsinghua university students in Beijing on Friday, said that India is the next frontier of economic revolution.
"You are a world class institution. You are the foundation for China's economic miracle," Modi told students as he greeted them in Mandarin. He also added, "You have produced great leaders including President Xi."
"After dark passages of history, India and China stand on verge of vast dynamic change in world," Narendra Modi said.
“We are on the right path... you will feel the change in India and you can see it in our growth rate. It has become 7.5%,” Modi added.
"Encouraged by President Xi and Premier Li's commitment towards fighting terrorism. Spreading tide of extremism and terrorism is a threat we both face and for both, the source is in the same region," the Prime Minister said.

"Geography and history tell us that the dream of an interconnected Asia will be successful, when India and China work together," says PM Modi.
"We must try to settle the boundary question quickly. We both realise that this is history's legacy,"
"We must ensure that our relationships with other countries do not become a source of concern for each other. Not only are our dreams interconnected, our future is also interconnected," says PM Modi.
"The world order has changed completely and when the world says 21st century is Asia's century, then it puts a greater responsibility on India and China. Tourism between India and China can grow. There can be many more exchanges in the field of technology," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said as he concluded his address at Beijing university.

— Vikas Swarup (@MEAIndia) May 15, 2015Earlier, Narendra Modi on Friday asked it to "reconsider" its approach on some of the issues and take a strategic and long term view to push the relationship which has been "complex" in recent decades.
He stressed the need for strengthening mutual trust and confidence while seeking solutions to outstanding issues.

The two sides signed a record 24 agreements covering railways, mining, outer space, earthquake science and engineering, tourism, sister-cities and establishment of consulates in Chengdu and Chennai.

"Our conversations were candid, constructive and friendly. We covered all issues, including those that trouble smooth development of our relations," Modi said at a joint press interaction here along with Li after the talks held at the Great Hall of People.
