Mumbai: Set against the backdrop of ambition, love, greed, and jazz – ‘Bombay Velvet’ is the story of one ordinary man who goes against all odds and forges his destiny to become a ‘Big Shot’. A lot goes in finalizing the look of the characters as that shapes up the audiences perception about them. One really needs to get into the skin of the character to portray it on the big screen.

Ranbir plays Johnny Balraj in the film and is obsessed about his lady love Rosie played by Anushka and would go to any extreme to have her in his life in this romantic thriller set against the backdrop of the 60s Bombay. Be it his character’s mannerisms, passion or boxing skills, Johnny is one character with a lot of layers.
