Danam Nagender keep the Bollywood presence at sangeet under wraps

Mumbai: Politician Danam Nagender’s daughter’s sangeet ceremony will be the talk of the town at least for the next few weeks — for being both a big event and for the politician’s very own attempt at keeping the whole deal top secret.
In fact, when asked if Bollywood’s elite — apart from Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez also took part — had indeed turned up for the sangeet, Nagender claimed he was “unwell... didn’t go for the sangeet...” and had no knowledge of “who all attended”. He further said it was his samdhi Anil Kishen who was organising a grand reception on May 3 and there may be celeb guests present!
But city guests at the sangeet claim Priyanka danced to a few Bollywood numbers and spent “considerable time” with people — many of them even took selfies. The bride and groom too joined the actress on stage.
Later Jacqueline Fernandez performed. Ranbir Kapoor did not perform, but came on the stage to congratulate the bride and groom, Riteish Deshmukh hosted the show. Priyanka’s reps too denied PC’s act at the wedding. They said the actress was in the city only for a four-hour brand promotion. It was a flash trip and since the actor had to be back for her Bajirao Mastani shoot, she chartered a flight and came to Hyderabad!
It’s claimed the actress had her make-up done mid-flight. Meanwhile, from Tollywood there were Nagarjuna, Amala, Balakrishna, Naga Chaitanya, producer Bandla Ganesh and director B. Gopal.
