I don’t live in the past: Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan does not want to talk about his earlier movies
Mumbai: Varun Dhawan may be a newcomer to the industry, but he already has the right attitude — forget the past, look to the future. The actor, who is currently working on ABCD 2, was recently asked about the difference between the character in the film and the one he played in Badlapur. He said, “I do not like living in the past. I prefer latching on to the present and looking forward to the future… Badlapur was an attempt with a different genre while this is a dance genre. I look ahead to progressive things in life. I opted for ABCD 2 as this was a different genre.”
Varun agrees that actors do not like to talk about their previous films. “Forgetfulness is but a process,” he says, adding, “I believe in leaving the past behind, in this profession we need not get into regression.
“Right now I am living, breathing and looking forward to the release of ABCD 2. Shraddha (Kapoor) and I are the main leads. But the film is more than just dance moves. It has drama, dance, romance and thrills as well.”
“After doing the film I realised how these dancers, in spite of not having proper infrastructure for learning dance, have excelled in their profession. This is possible only because they are passionate about dance... They are the real heroes.”
