A state-of-the-art Kalabharathi

HYDERABAD: The main design submitted by architect Hafeez Contractor incorporates additional designs of four auditoriums with seating capacities of 3,000, 1,500, 1,000 and 5,00 persons respectively.

The building will have water bodies and fountains around it. The plinth area of the building will be roughly 1,25,000 square feet with dimensions of 125x125 square metres.

Within the site, the building will be almost centrally located with lawns on either side. There will be two corner gates, one located in the north-west and the other towards south-east. Besides these two, a grand gate towards the east will also be constructed.

The design also envisages an Experience Theatre, preview theatre, practice and rehearsal areas, library, art museum gallery, painting gallery, sculpture gallery, VIP lounge, media lounge, seminar rooms with seating capacities of 100, 50 and 25, dormitory and guest rooms, three restaurants, 40 rooms for members, 10 suites for members, food court for 1,000 persons, cells for Lalita Kala Academy, Sahitya Academy and Sangeet Nataka Academy, car parking for 3,000 vehicles, gathering space for 10,000 people and so on.
