Disaffiliated engineering colleges to conduct exam

Government will allow about 9,000 students appear for the first year exams
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Saturday said that the government will allow about 9,000 students admitted in the 163 disaffiliated engineering colleges to appear for the first year exams.
JNTU Hyderabad officials said that the decision was taken since the matter of disaffiliation is sub-judice, after the engineering colleges approached the Hyderabad High Court, and hence they can’t be relocated.
Mr Srihari said that the inspections to all 288 engineering colleges in the state would be held again in May. He added that the colleges have been informed of the their deficiencies and have been advised to rectify the same before the inspections.
Several students were in admitted 163 engineering colleges after the SC gave a conditional order allowing them to join the colleges at their own risk.
