Extraterrestrial life likely to be discovered by 2045: NASA

One in five stars has at least one planet where life might spring up

NASA will likely discover some valuable evidence of extraterrestrial life in another 20 to 30 years, i.e by 2045. Scientists are convinced that there’s life on other planets as well. Ellen Stofan, NASA's chief scientist, also said that NASA is trying its level best to search for habitable worlds and extraterrestrial life.

Seth Shostak of the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in Mountain View, California also suggested that one in five stars has at least one planet where life might spring up. According to John Grunsfeld, associate administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate specified that the solar system and broader Milky Way galaxy support life.
