SenecaGlobal to set up new facility in Hyderabad

SenecaGlobal planning to expand its operations by setting up a 40,000 square feet facility

Hyderabad: SenecaGlobal, an IT services company, is planning to expand its operations in the city by setting up a 40,000 square feet facility. For this, it plans to invest $2.5 million to $3 million as they feel that the uncertainty surrounding the state is diminishing steadily.

“We have been in the city since 2008 and for us, Hyderabad is a great place to expand our operations. Certainty or uncertainty does not effect our plans, but after the split of the state, we are sure that there is more certainty now than last year. We want to create more jobs with more business coming our way,” said Rao Tummalapalli, managing director, SenecaGlobal.

In addition, the company, which plans to invest $5 million incrementally in the next three years to supplement its global as well as India expansions, is going to double its headcount in the city by recruiting 500 employees in the next two years from the existing 200 and aiming at 2,000 employees in the country by 2020.

Elaborating on the focus areas of the firm, Ed Szofer, president and CEO, said, “The India technology centre will continue to focus on development and delivery of high quality software solutions for our mid-market clients globally. We expect our newest service offering, enterprise mobility, to accelerate the growth of our operations in coming years”.

Talking about the revenue Tummalapalli said that they had garnered revenues of '40 crore last FY and expect touch Rs 55 crore this fiscal.
