Telangana districts to get training centres for Haj aspirants

‘600 pilgrims would be accommodated in the Rubat'

Hyderabad: Mohammed Mahmood Ali, the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, on Wednesday announced that the government has proposed to construct skill development centres in every district, which can be used to train minority youth and also to conduct training of Haj pilgrims.

He was addressing the gathering after the draw of lots (Qurrah) for selection of 1,223 Haj pilgrims from the state.

He assured that this year, 600 pilgrims would be accommodated in the Rubat in Makkah Mukarrama KSA and the government intends to provide free accommodation to all the pilgrims in the coming days.

He also congratulated the selected pilgrims and said that the state government is determined to provide the best possible service to the Haj pilgrims.

The government has allotted a budget of '1,105 crore for minorities welfare and will implement all the welfare schemes.

Meanwhile, Palle Raghunath Reddy, the minister for information, public relations and minorities welfare of Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday selected 2,027 Haj pilgrims from AP through Qurrah.
