On Wednesday the police announced the arrest of two people, Sushanth Reddy and Ravi Panasa, and both are related to Tollywood. Sushanth Reddy is the producer and director of the film Superstar Kidnap while Ravi Panasa handled PR for many big events like CCL. According to reports the two are not dealers but addicts.
Ravi Panasa recently even started his own production house RK Media and is now producing a film called Nala Damayanti. Nara Rohit, actor and nephew of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is co-producing the film with Ravi Panasa. He has been associated with CCL for a few years now and also manages Sachin Joshi.
“Why point a finger at the entire industry? Rackets are highlighted only when someone from the film industry is involved,” says Thammareddy Bharadwaj. “Why can’t the police do more to control drugs? They focus on them only when there is a industry connection,” he quesions.
