Mumbai: There has been a lot of buzz about who will be cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Maneesh Sharma’s upcoming film. There were talks about Parineeti Chopra, Ileana D’Cruz being considered for the role. But now apparently the makers have zeroed in on a new face.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, supermodel Waluscha has been roped in for the film. A source was quoted, “It's not a regular flick that has quintessential roles for a hero and heroine. The casting process of the film has been unusual. They've picked Waluscha, who is not from the industry, as the leading lady. She was a prominent supermodel after participating in a beauty pageant in 2000, but she took a break after marrying fashion choreographer Marc Robinson. Now, they have separated.”
It is believed that it was difficult to convince her for the role as she didn’t have any prior experience in acting. The source also said, “Waluscha took special training in acting for this film. She has already started shooting with Shah Rukh in south Mumbai and at an Andheri studio."
Earlier the film was scheduled to release on August 14 this year but it has been postponed due to SRK’s injury last year.
