Google’s Lollipop will reside on the Sony Xperia Z3 this February

Sony will roll out the Lollipop update for the Sony Xperia Z3 by the end of February

Sony’s flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3 will start receiving the Lollipop update and the rollout will appear as early as the end of February. The Japanese tech giant has announced that the Xperia Z3 has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance on 16 February and the flagship handset will see the new update anytime soon.

Though the certification has been approved, Sony hasn’t mentioned about the date for the release as yet. However, citing the certification approval, it is certain that the Lollipop update has been given a go ahead and the release could be anytime soon. Though Sony is late on the Android Lollipop release, it seems that the update will see the v5.0.2 update, or later, which will make the handset less buggy, since the 5.0 update had plenty of issues.
