Naidu says they will bring consensus after consulting both the states

Hyderabad: A comprehensive amendment to the AP Reorganisation Act to overcome certain deficiencies and remove irritants facing Telangana and AP is most likely to come before the Parliament Budget session.
Indicating the same, Union parliamentary affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said at a media conference on Sunday, “However, whatever amendments we would like to bring to Parliament will be after consulting both the states and only based on consensus would we go ahead with the amendments.”
At different points of time, both Telangana and AP governments have requested the Centre to bring few amendments to effectively implement the AP Bifurcation Act. Recently, the Telangana government had requested the Central government to bring an amendment with regard to re-merger of certain villages in Bhadrachalam revenue division from AP to Telangana for free access without affecting the villages that would be submerged under Polavaram.
