Sikh group files complaint against Amitabh Bachchan ahead of World Cup visit

The complaint seeks Bachchan's prosecution for his involvement in 1984 riots
Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchans fans who were rejoicing that the actor would be taking up the role of a television commenttator during the India-Pakistan match that is scheduled to be played at the ICC Cricket World Cup on February 15, might face disappointment.
According to reports in Times of India, a criminal complaint has been filed against the actor in Australia. The actor is believed to have played a role in instigating violence in Delhi after Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assasination in 1984.
The Sikh community in Australia has therefore filed the complaint and is seeking prosecution for the same. Previously, a complaint of similar nature had been filed against Bachchan during the shooting of Hollywood movie 'Great Gatsby' co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio and to receive an Honorary Degree from Queensland University of technology-Brisbane
