Andhra Pradesh to take decision on PRC

The Cabinet sub-committee on PRC will meet on Monday

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government is considering two proposals to implement the pay recommendation commission. The Cabinet sub-committee on PRC will meet on Monday and finalise its report to submit to the government.

The first option is to announce fitment between 31 per cent to 34 per cent. The second is to announce 43 per cent, like the Telangana state government, or even 1 per cent or 2 per cent more and it will be implemented from April 1.

By implementing 43 per cent fitment, the additional financial burden will be Rs 9,825.17 crore per year. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is of the opinion that the financial position of the state and Centre will improve from the next financial year.
