Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi spill the beans

Did you know that Divyanka speaks fluent Bhopali

We caught up with Karan Patel aka Raman and Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishta, the adorable pair from 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein'. Here's what they had to say about the show, their best moments and favourite hobbies.

What do you feel about your names given by fans- Divan and Ishra?

Divyanka - I just love these names. It’s made just for and is the love by our fans. I want to thank them all.

Karan- I feel like I have my own army (laughs) .It gives us an insight that whatever work we are doing as couple, people like it and we are doing justice to it.

A quality about your each other that you admire and something you would like to change?

D : Admire: He is super talented actor and amazing dancer. Change: His sense of timing. He is not at all punctual. Also I would like him to make best use of the talent he possesses.

K: Admire: Her dedication and patience. Change: I want her to just forget the sense of Timing, like maybe a time memory loss. She is just too punctual

Your favourite dance sequence in the show and any memories associated with the shoot?

D:The Holi dance which we did last year. I was wearing this white sari and I was supposed to shoot in it next day also a continuity shot but Karan didn’t know and he kept on throwing colour on me and the sari got spoiled and the next day we had search for similar looking sari.

K: Oh the rain dance sequence. I was shivering in cold. Pani khatam ho gayatha lekin who dance nahi.

What is your idea of a perfect date?

D:I would like to go a beach. Having nice chai by sunset and some food cooked by him. It will be a nice calm date.

K: When I will be with a perfect girl at a perfect place alone that is a perfect date for me. It can be anywhere. I don’t need an exotic location to make it perfect.

How does it feel meeting fans on the sets and any interesting incidents?

D: Recently it happened. A girl came to meet me all the way from Ahmedabad and she went to KlickNixon, our old set which got burnt. She started crying there and somebody told her that I am shooting in S.J. Studio so she came here and started pleading with the security. When I got to know somebody has come and is crying to meet me for 5 hours. I went out to meet her immediately. I thought she would be happy to see me finally but cried more after hugging me. Fans really give us a lot of love and come all the way just to see us.

K: Recently only there were fans who had come from Rajasthan. They were ‘ Ishra’ fans . So they came and met Divyanka and left. Later I got to know they were too scared to come and talk to me or pose with me for a picture.

A scene from any popular movie that you would love to recreate on your show, in the future?

D: I am a huge fan of Madhuri Dixit. I would like to her dance number Chane ke khetmai and want Master ji( Saroj Khan) to choreograph it for it. That will be my dream comes true.

K: Kuch Kuch hota hai scene between SRK and kajol when they meet after 10 years. I love the way SRK has performed in it.

Do you raise concerns or give your inputs if you are unhappy with a certain track on the show?

D: No I don’t. I respect my creative who is very good at their job. If there is any concern I try and 1st see if I am getting convinced by the scene. Then only I can convince my audience. I always justify the scene in my head.

K: I think the work is divided for a reason. My job is to act so I just focus on that. But I do give some personal touches or lines to enhance my character.

Some crazy moments spent on the sets/ off screen?

D: Whenever the whole family is together on the set we are one crazy gang. Then nobody can handle us. All of us gossip. Boys, girls, bade chote everyone chats and gossip. When it comes to scene then we all become professionals but other than that we go crazy.

K: Every day is crazy for us. My boy gang and me usually hangout in my vanity and have a blast. We sing, we laugh. We make our work place a fun place.

Are performing romantic scenes awkward? How do you deal with it?

D: For Divyanka they are awkward but not for Ishita. I know it’s my job. I do the scene and the n forget about it. I get into that zone and then come out of it immediately.

K: For any actor it’s very important to make your co-star comfortable. For that I have to be comfortable in my own skin which I do. Other than that we understand it our job. SO I don’t think much about it.

Something about you that fans don’t know?

D: I somehow can’t remember numbers name, faces. I forget very easily. I have memory problem. My family and friends call me lady Gajini. Very soon I will have to roam around with camera (Laugh)

K: Than I am not Ravan Kumar in real life
