Police arrested the actor on a tip-off
Mollywood actor Shine Tom Chacko.
Kochi: A Malayalam actor and four women were arrested for allegedly possessing narcotics, police said on Saturday.
Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, assistant director Blessy, and three models were arrested for using cocaine. During arrest, police found 10 grams of cocaine in their possession.
On a tip off, the police raided a flat in Kadavanthara area, which is owned by a business baron and King’s group owner Muhammed Nizam.
The Kerala police had earlier detained Nizam for trying to kill a security guard, by running him down with his SUV.
Actor Shine Tom Chacko had essayed the lead role in the Malayalam film Itihaasa which released in October 2014.
Their statements were recorded Saturday morning, police said.
