'Selma' Director Ava DuVernay and David Oyelowo reunite for Hurricane Katrina film

'Selma' director Ava DuVernay and the film’s star, David Oyelowo, are joining forces with Participant Media to create “a narrative feature film chronicling a sweeping love story and complex murder mystery set against the backdrop of the devastating hurricane of 2005," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Ava will write, produce, and direct the Hurricane Katrina film and David is in negotiations to star in it.

While 'Selma' has received an Oscar nod, Oyelowo also starred in DuVernay’s feature 'Middle of Nowhere'.
