Bengaluru: Actor Duniya Vijay was summoned at the Central Crime Branch office in Chamarajpet on Monday after a film producer Jayanna, complained that the actor and his two friends had been threatening him for the last two weeks. The actor was questioned for a few hours.
The Kannada film producer alleged that he and his family were receiving threats from the actor and his friends, who are seen roaming around his house.
Film industry sources said that Jayanna, who has taken Kapali theatre on lease, is refusing to let Vijay’s movie Jackson release in the theatre.
Vijay, who spoke to the media coming out of the CCB Headquarters, said, “I did not think this issue would get escalated to this level. I tried contacting Jayanna over phone, but he was unavailable. No FIR has been filed. It is only a petition that has been submitted to the CCB.”
