After a long hiatus, actor Rajasekhar is set to make a comeback with Geddam Gang, a remake of the Tamil film Soodhu Kavvum. Gossip has it that the actor is planning to construct a statue of Anushka Shetty in the film.
No the actor is not obsessed with her, it is his character in Geddam Gang that builds a statue of his favourite heroine in his village and Rajasekhar has decided it should be Anushka who plays the character’s on-screen idol! (Nayantara played the role in the original).
Must say the year has begun well for Anushka. A statue on the sets of one film and an offer to play the lead in a Kannada film too. The actress was approached by a Kannada filmmaker with a script to play the lead in actor Darshan’s new project titled Jaggu Dada.
Though the actress is said to have liked the script, the makers are yet to have her confirmation. Anushka is busy shooting for Baahubali and Rudhramadevi. If she does give the nod, the film will mark her entry into Sandalwood.
