2 police constables rape teen at Badaun police station

The constables are absconding and the process of their termination has been started, said IG (law and order) Satish Ganesh on Friday. According to police reports, the girl’s family has alleged that the girl went out of the house to relieve herself and was picked up by the constables who dragged her into a car and took her to a room in the premises of the police station where they raped her. The girl returned home around midnight and narrated the ordeal to her mother.

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has ordered strict disciplinary action against the accused and has asked the police to arrest them at the earliest. It may be recalled that Badaun made headlines when two girls were found hanging from a tree in May last year, after being allegedly raped. The case was handed over to the CBI that claimed it was a case of double suicide.
