Theatre owners in Ahmedabad, Mumbai forced to stop ‘pk’ screening
Mumbai: A single screen in Mumbai has stopped the screening of ‘pk’ for the fear of its property being vandalised. Activists allegedly belonging to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad threatened the owner to stop the screening or to face dire consequences.
According to reports, the theatre owner was left with no other option but to stop the screening of the film.
The activists want the film banned and incidents like these have already been reported in other states of India. Demanding a ban on Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK' for hurting Hindu sentiments, Bajrang Dal activists today allegedly attacked two theatres in the city opposing the screening of the film.

— Subramanian Swamy (@Swamy39) December 29, 2014At least 20 members of the right-wing organisation led by city unit chief Jwalit Mehta targeted City Gold and Shiv theatres on Ashram Road this morning and smashed ticket windows and tore off posters of the film.
The censor board has maintained a tough stand on this and has clearly denied to make any changes to the films content as it is already out for Public viewing.
Recently, when we had caught up with Aamir Khan, we asked his take on the protest to which he said, “For every film there are groups that protest. This is not the first time it’s happening to my film. It’s a democracy. If that is their opinion, so be it."
There are reports that some venues in MP and Rajasthan are also forced to stop all shows.
