Two women held for robbery

Chennai: The police arrested two women said to be involved in the daylight robbery of 20 sovereigns of gold from a home on Agastiar Street in Villivakkam on Monday.The women, believed to be part of a gang, had tied up Soundari, the woman of the house, and then relieved her of the gold.

Soundari said that three men had robbed her, but the police think that the gang consisted of two men and two women too.“The two women had become acquainted with Soundari over the last one month and had visited her too with the men. They had together robbed her,” police sources said. They are now on the lookout for the two men.
