Upset farmers set to move court

The AP government presented the APCRDA Bill in the Assembly on Saturday

GUNTUR: The absence of details regarding compensation package for land pooling in the AP Capital Region Development Authority Bill has left the farmers and landowners of Tullur and Mangalagiri mandals in Guntur disappointed.

The AP government presented the APCRDA Bill in the Assembly on Saturday. Most of the farmers of 29 villages of the capital region had expected the Bill to mention the compensation to be given to the farmers.

Rajadhani Rythula Samanyava committee leader M. Harindranath Chowdary said that farmers of Rayapudi, Abbarajupalem, Lingayapalem will conduct meetings in the next two days and would go to court against the Bill.

“The Bill is meant for realtors who are planning to do business in the new capital. There is no word on the farmers,” said Mr Chowdary.
