Mumbai: The poster of Ranbir Kapoor's film 'Roy' was launched few days back. The actor who outgrew his lover boy image went an extra mile to get under the skin of the character. The poster which shows us Ranbir facing the skyline makes us wonder if it was inspired from '50 Shades of Grey' poster.
Although it is not a blatant copy, it does bare resemblance to a very prominent scene from the movie. A minute look at the ‘Roy’ poster indeed does reflect a similar outline of the erotic story.
Intriguing and mysterious, 'Roy' is centered on a thief, a story and a confession. While the trailer does give us a hint of the characters essayed by the actors on screen, it does manage to keep the plot under wraps.
'50 Shades of Grey' on the other hand is based on an erotic romance novel by British author E. L. James released few years back. It is the first installment in the trilogy which puts forth the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. The trailer is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes and forming the base of dominant and submissive characters.
An interesting fact is both the films, 'Roy' and '50 Shades of Grey' is released on the same day that is 13th February. It will be interesting to see how the events unfold then.
