Hyderabad: Apart from contributing to hike in salaries, recruitment has increased in the e-commerce industry and it could as well out to be one of the top recruiters this year.
“Recruitments by e-commerce companies have increased drastically. There is a lot of scope in this field right from SEO (search engine optimisation) exp-erts, hosting experts, PHT (website designing language) developers, Photoshop designers, digital marketing experts etc.
This year too the e-commerce companies will be at the helm of recruitments,” said Sundeep Kumar Makthala, president of TS IT Industries Association.
Going by the recruitment at IIT-Hyderabad, e-commerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Paypal were among the major recruiters.
A number of graduates are available at the lower end of the spectrum, whom e-commerce companies could recruit and mould them as per their requirements.
The higher end talent, meanwhile, is very difficult to get. “The e-commerce companies require the higher end talent and are creating a lot pressure on this category.,” said Ramesh Loganathan, the president of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association).
